Who we are

In the summer of ’08, with the vision to recreate the fellowship and love they had experienced in Berkeley and Davis, a team of 15 brothers and sisters moved to the Hill Country of Austin, Texas. The sweltering summer heat greeted the Austin team’s excitement. They also received a very “warm” welcome by the UT Austin students they met in the gym, in the cafeterias, and dorms. Since the inaugural service in October 2008, God continues to expand the ministry to embrace college students, graduate students and working adults in the greater Austin area.

Pastor Manny and Sunny lead Gracepoint Austin. They share their home and hearts with the UT Austin students and their Longhorns Pride! Before becoming a pastor, Manny graduated from UC Berkeley in Molecular Cell Biology and worked in research; Sunny majored in Sociology at Mills College. Together they are discipling the first generation of UT Austin Longhorns while raising their two daughters, Corrie and Naomi.
