Many churches have people who are passionate about getting involved. They reach out to college campuses, mentor underserved kids, start food shelters, and on and on it goes. These things are wonderful, and often quite meaningful. But we believe there’s more than just seeing positive impact in our communities. Rather, we expect the good work and service to transform the volunteer so that Christ-like character forms in their person, causing deep spiritual transformation. They stop being volunteers and become ministers.
